The registration to the workshop for the Congress Participants is possible only by the registration form.
If you are not the Congress Participant, but you would like to attend in workshop, please contact us: email@example.com
The aim of the workshop is to present the phenomenon of ultrasound vocalization in rats and mice. We will show how to induce ultrasound vocalization in rats. We will conduct an experiment showing the
induction of 50 kHz USVs during social interaction. Then we will analyze the recorded signals using three commercially available independent software. Participants will learn how to convert a sound
signal into a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), how to search and recognize ultrasound in the FFT spectrogram, and how to parameterize vocal episodes and how to prepare data to be ready for statistical
analysis. The expected outcome of the workshop will be an independent FFT analysis by the participant.
Workshops will be conducted by:
Paweł Boguszewski, Adam Hamed, Wiktoria Karwicka and Karolina Rojek from the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology in Warsaw
ALL PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BE EQUIPPED WITH OWN LAPTOP COMPUTERS!!!
Department for Experimental Medicine, Medical University of Silesia in Katowice 4 Medyków St, 40-752 Katowice
